# Getting Started as a User

## Prerequisites

    Download [Phantom Wallet](https://phantom.app/) browser extension

  <Step title="Switch to Mainnet">
    Settings → Network → Mainnet Beta (for live trading)
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fund Your Wallet">
    * SOL: Purchase from exchanges like Coinbase, Binance, or FTX
    * USDC: Buy directly in Phantom or transfer from exchange
  </Step>

## How to Buy Tokens

### Step 1: Connect Wallet

1. Visit the Tradmatrix app
2. Click "Select Wallet" in top right
3. Choose Phantom
4. Approve connection

### Step 2: Browse Assets

View all available assets on the homepage:

* See asset name and images
* Check tokens available
* View token cost
* Monitor progress bar

### Step 3: Select Asset

Click on any asset card to see:

* Full asset details
* Current tokens sold / total tokens
* List of token buyers
* Win probability calculator

### Step 4: Purchase Tokens

1. Click "Buy Token" button
2. Select quantity (more tokens = higher odds)
3. Review:
   * Total cost in USDC
   * Your win probability
   * Expected returns
4. Click "Buy Tokens"
5. Approve transaction in Phantom

  First-time buyers: Your user account will be auto-initialized (costs a small amount of SOL)

### Step 5: Track Your Tokens

* View your tokens in "My Tokens" section
* Monitor asset progress
* Check if you won after sellout

## Understanding Probability

Your win chance is simple math:

Probability = (Your Tokens) / (Total Tokens Remaining)
```

### Examples

Asset with 5,000 tokens:

| Your Tokens | Investment | Win Probability |
| ----------- | ---------- | --------------- |
| 1           | \$100      | 0.02%           |
| 10          | \$1,000    | 0.20%           |
| 50          | \$5,000    | 1.00%           |
| 100         | \$10,000   | 2.00%           |

  **Strategy**: Spread investments across multiple assets for diversification, or concentrate on one for higher individual odds.

## When You Win

If your token is selected:

1. **Notification**: Email/SMS alert (instant)
2. **Verification**: Check blockchain for proof
3. **Asset Transfer**: Ownership documents provided
4. **Support**: Dedicated concierge service

    * **Transaction fee**: \~\$0.00001 SOL (negligible)
    * **No platform fee** for buyers!

    Yes! Buy as many as you want to increase your odds.

  <Accordion title="How is the winner selected?">
    Using Entropy's provably fair algorithm - cryptographically secure, completely random, impossible to predict or manipulate.

  <Accordion title="What if I don't win?">
    Your token cost goes to the asset owner (minus 1.5% platform fee). You took a chance at winning a high-value asset for a fraction of its cost.

    Currently tokens are non-transferable. Secondary marketplace coming in Phase 3.

  <Accordion title="What happens if asset doesn't sell out?">
    Currently there's no refund mechanism. Only participate in assets you believe will sell out. Future versions may add refund logic.

### Sarah's Story

Sarah wanted to own a beach house but only had \$500 saved.

**What she did:**

* Found a \$400,000 beach house on Tradmatrix
* 4,000 tokens at \$100 each
* Bought 5 tokens (\$500 investment)
* Win probability: 0.125%

**Result:**

* **She won!** 🎉
* Received \$400,000 beach house
* Paid only \$500
* Verified on blockchain

**For the other 3,995 participants:**

* Each had fair chance
* Asset owner got \$394,000 quick payout
* Everyone saw transparent process
